New idea for death penalty.

Out-Of-Mission Death Penalty would be -5%. You have access to a /respawn or /release command.

While inside an actual (Mission) Mission, Death penalty may still be -15, or even -20. You do not have access to a /respawn or /release.

Less stressed travels, no bother to missions which should be difficult.

Alright, All I have to wish for is more guild customization, which has been listed in a couple post. " Guild Wars" The name alone signifies that it will be storngly based on guilds. I have obtained a 'Guild Hall' only to be disapointed at the leaders ability to customize his/her own Guild/Guild Hall. I believe the Guild Leader should have power to give certain guild officers power along with remove power. My opinion also see's there being a guild deposit box that the GUILD LEADER may allow access to certain members, for it will be guild oriented for storying guild items. The LEADER may allow his OFFICERS and MEMBERS to create SHOPS/VENDORS in HIS/HER own guildhall that the users may SET their own prices for buying AND selling. I'd like to see more than a 50 or so character limit on guild announcments, if you have a large guild, you will have more to say than 50 characters. I'd like to allow my guild members to drop off items in my guild hall as well, for reasons such as this:

I decided to have guild games for my guildies so I pondered several ideas, one was to drop off several small items not high of value. I was to give each member clues/riddles to the where abouts of each item, if they grabbed the right one and returned, they got a prize. If they brought the wrong one, or more than one it ment disqualification.

As a guild leader I dont ' Want ' I ' REQUIRE ' to have the ability to these actions to make a good enviroment for my guldies. If this means I have the ability to make it SNOW in the BURNING ISLE, I'd like to have the ability to do so. I would also like the ability the allow pets to roam in my guild hall, TROPHYS such as a stuffed or a head of a ROTSCALE hanging in my Guild Hall. I don't mind if they don't appear in guild battle, but not all guilds are just here to battle.

These are just my opinions//Suggestions,
Thank you for your time,
Zachet

Because the look rubbish on models like the ranger and elementist, which is why I have yet to join a guild.

Been told the game in beta had other stuff besides the cape, why not add them back in?

Riding animals arent really needed for travelling... however, it would be a real kick to have a racing minigame.

Okay, just took a look at what's been written so far, and since some of the ideas listed here are similar to what I have thought of, I will add my comments here, instead of creating a new thread.

Quote:
- Blips to indicate the direction of a fellow team mate or ally that is very far away (outside of the visible compass)
Agreed. Especially when you die and have to make a loong run back, it can be difficult for (a) You to find where you need to go (i know the map leaves dots as a trail, but if you've backtracked a lot, it can just become a big mess; and (b) Your other team members to know whereabouts you are if they want to backtrack a little to meet you.

Quote:
- The leader of a party has the ability to disallow/allow a party member from drawing on the compass, or pinging it.
Definitely.

Quote:
- Each person in the party has their name in the party window with a different color, that color matches their line color and ping color on the compass.
I do agree there needs to be another way to identify who is drawing/pinging, but with (up to) eight different colours, chances are some of them are going to become difficult to see. Also, the White name against a red (or greenish) healthbar stands out best. My alternate suggestion would be, that when a person draws/pings the minimap, perhaps a symbol could flicker on their name in the party list to indicate that they are drawing.

Quote:
- /respawn or /die or /release or SOMETHING. Please. Whether it autorespawn if the living party is too far away, or if they can just type /respawn and respawn. Waiting a long time is dull, annoying, and aggrevating- especially with the living person being an idiot.
Yes, please. I would also like it so you do not automatically respawn. Sometimes I like to sit there and see how my party goes, especially if the monster is near-death.

Quote:
- Detailed (H) menu. Attack damage potential, armor class/defense, resistances, evasion, bonuses/penalties, etc.
This would be nice.

Quote:
- Free look option for camera when in autorun (such as holding the shift key and looking)
At the moment you can free-look by holding the Free Camera key (which isn't bound by default). However, my issue with this is that to pan the camera around while moving, I have to hold two keys, the Free Camera key, and my right mouse button. I would rather that the Free Camera key also let me move the camera while holding it.

Quote:
- Better henchmen/pet AI.
- A pet will not stay behind and fight to the death if you run away, they will follow you first and fight second.
Please pleease pleeeeaase. Heck, I'd be happy if I just had commands for my pet to Attack my target, and to Come Back. I'd much rather my pet starts attacking a monster before I start shooting at it, because my pet seems really bad at intercepting a mob that's already heading towards me; it seems to take this roundabout path. Also, I'd rather be able to tell the pet to come, rather than have it automatically run back with me. If it always chose to follow me, it would make it difficult when I'm trying to use my pet to get some distance between me and the mob. (c: But yes, sometimes I want to run and don't want my pet to die there, so I wish I could call it back to me.

And one last thing I'd like to see:
  • - An extra filter/option for the buying/selling window which can hide any weapons/items that are part of any of your weaponsets.
Yes, yes, I know I should probably just look more carefully before I sell, but even so, I still manage to accidently sell off alternate weapons sometimes.

Might as well "reply" using my own topic, I personally feel it covers alot more gameplay and system issues than this, and that is what I'm more about.

But dubby, a fan of most of your suggestions.

Not sure about rideable dragons and stuff, but a rentable rideable beast would be handy for times where your actual objective is sitting at the far end of a zone from the nearest map-travel point. If you've cleared through most of a zone, then die really far away and have to walk back, then you have a really long, uneventful walk ahead of you.

Added a few more featurette ideas for quest categorization, a popularity system, and something else that currently escapes me because I'm tired. Pooh.

Thumbs down

OMFG
This stupid henchmen getting stuck and not rezzing bullshit has got to be fixed. I just grinded out a lot of the map, then I died, and two of the henchmen just stood there looking at my body and won't rez me. The dumber than a bucket of rocks monk henchmen is stuck somewhere else in the zone...
This type of stuff makes me want to exit the game and go play something else.

While you're at it, have them STOP attacking mobs that are on different levels. I'm sick of my henchmen stopping to try to attack mobs that are under a bridge I'm crossing or vice versa. The best thing to do is to KEEP RUNNING.

OMFGWTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
It happened again! My stupid monk is floating in the air. I'm glad this game doesn't have a monthly fee...

Sort of chiming into Ignotus' post, I would like to see a new change to include vertical aggro circles, I hate getting spells cast on me because this mob happens to be so far up there, and simply requiring me to run by in this. If they are on a ledge I can't just climb up, and are close enough to see me, then by all means let them. But, if you are giving aggro ranges to creatures standing twenty feet infront of you, the same should be said of creatures twenty feet above you.

Bump again. Added several other ideas, as well as updated with a concept for parties - guilds (or higher?) on the first post at the bottom. Would change how guilds work, and is just a tossup idea.

that devotee idea is awesome, i really like the idea, and i hope A-Net get a look at it cos their are some gr8 ideas their. its original and really difererent gameplay to the other profs, offering a new type of support character. Perhaps the maruader should be renamed assasin, as it seems that the two are the same. some really gr8 ideas here, and if just 1 makes it into the game then it can be considered a victory. they will need some tunig and some balancing, and some may not be possible, buts thats all unimportant at this stage. awesome
